 BREWING METHODS

Brewing tea is the extraction of the goodness of the leaves, and the art of making the perfect tea can be created several ways. Below we explore a few of our favourite variations.

Teapot with Strainer

1. Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of Evolva Tea tea into the mesh strainer (add accordingly to how strong you want your tea to taste).
2. Put the kettle to boil to 100 degrees.
3. Add the boiled water to your pot and let the beautifully aromatic specialty Chai to steep in the boiling water for about 7 to 10 minutes.
4. Steep and let it cool for a further 5 to 10 minutes to fully envelop the pure organic ingredients used in our Chai blends; Evolva Tea tastes better if it cools down a little.
5. It is up to you if you would like to add honey or milk to the Original Evolvatea Chai, but it is recommended for our specialty Chais to be drunk without any additives.

Tea Infuser

1. Bring kettle to boil.
2. Clamp or insert 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of Evolvatea Chai to the infuser (again, this totally depends on how strong and fragrant you want your tea to be. I like mine mildly stronger than usual, so the infuser would be quite full).
3. Pour the boiled water over our authentic Wooden Tea Infuser.
4. Let is steep for about 10 to 15 mins. With Evolva Tea, it requires a longer steeping time as the taste, aroma and fragrance of the tea is more pronounced when it is a bit cooler (at around 80 degrees).
5. You can add and steep the same tea leaves again if you wish to utilise all the goodness!

Remember: It is recommended that our tea is drunk without milk or sweetener, but you can enjoy it however you like.

Tea Strainer

1. Bring your kettle to the boil.
2. Put 1 to 2 tablespoon of Evolva Tea Chai (depending on how strong you like it) into about 500 to 700 ml pot or teapot.
3. Pour the boiled water directly into the loose-leaf Evolva Tea Chai and let it steep for about 15 minutes. (Remember, the longer you steep it, the better the taste. And it's more aromatic and flavoursome when it is cooled down to about 70 to 80 degrees).
4. Place your tea strainer over an empty cup. The tea strainer will catch all the loose-leaf sediments to keep your tea clear and more pleasurable to drink.
Enjoy our Evolva Tea Chai however way you wish! But it is recommended that you drink it without any additives.

Milk Brewed Chai with Tea Strainer.

1. Add 3 whole tablespoons of Evolva Chai to your tea pot. Be more generous with your serving this time as milk will usually dilute the taste. You want the Chai spices to cut the milk properly.

2. Bring 100 mils of water to boil and add to tea. Let it steep for 5 to 7 mins.

3. While you wait for the tea to steep in boiling water, put 400 mils of milk of your choice to boil (I am using almond milk, usually a nutty milk will go well with chai).

4. Once Evolva Chai is steeped, add the hot milk to your tea pot and let it steep for a further 10 mins.

5. You may want to add a sweetener of your choice. I've used honey. But you can use stevia or agave to make it pure vegan... or drink the milk brewed chai as it is.

6. Strain your brewed chai into your favourite cup using a tea mesh strainer.

You can brew any of our Evolva Chai with milk and honey! But you may need to add more Chai to cut the milk properly.
